Progressive Lenses in Chiang Mai
Progressive (varifocal) lenses are the hardest lenses to get right — and the reason people who "couldn't adapt to progressives" often just had lenses made from incomplete measurements. Progressives are our specialty, and the reason many of our customers are referred by their friends.
Why ours adapt better
A standard progressive is calculated from three or four numbers. Ours start from a DNEye biometric scan of over 7,000 measurement points, sent directly to Rodenstock in Germany, where the lens is machined for your individual eye — corneal shape, pupil behaviour in day and night light, and how your frame actually sits on your face. The result is a wider clear corridor and far less of the "swim" effect progressives are notorious for.
Options at different budgets
Rodenstock B.I.G. individual lenses — the full biometric route
ZEISS and HOYA progressive designs at several performance tiers
Office / near-range lenses — for desk and screen work, often the better second pair
Progressive pricing varies widely between tiers — message us your prescription on LINE (@thevisionoptic) or contact us and we'll quote the options side by side for your case.
Fitting and follow-up
Fitting is done by a Doctor of Optometry, and we check in after you have worn the lenses. If something is not right in real use, come back — measuring, refitting and fine-tuning are part of the service, not an extra.
